Chapter 17 Attends 9-11 Ceremony |
On September 11, 2011, the Kroger store on McNeese Street in Lake Charles invited Chapter #17 to attend a ceremony to honor the victims of 911. Members who were present were State Sr. Vice Commander Ray Arsement; Chapter #17 Commander Dave Sensat; Sr. Vice Commander Leslie Blanchard; Adjutant Nelson Gautreaux; and Treasurer/State Inspector Lee Richard. Auxiliary members Chaplain Carolyn Sensat, Karen Arsement, Carrie Richard and Joann Gautreaux were also in attendance.

Louis L. Lust Chapter 17 Holds "Claims Day" |
Louis L Lust Chapter #17 held a “Claims Day” on Thursday, September 1, 2011. Services Officers; Roy Benoit and Al Cochran from Chapter #17 and Al Leger from Chapter #19 were able to help 34 veterans and their families with existing claims or file new claims. State Adjutant Charles Holdeman was also there to assist and to see what a “Claims Day” is all about. As a result of that day, Chapter #17 signed up 12 new members. Chapter #17 will be having its next “Claims Day” on October 6, 2011.
